During our recent trip to Panama, we spent two days at Janson Farm, cupping through a wide range of coffees and selecting the ones that stood out most to us.
In blind cuppings, the coffees from the Los Alpes area consistently stand out. For us, they perfectly represent the profile we love most from Janson.
We are big fans of their washed coffees, with their delicate green tea character and intense floral expression. To us, this is one of the farm’s most distinctive signatures. We also love their naturals, which consistently show beautiful jammy and tropical fruit notes, plenty of sweetness, and refined floral character.
This year’s harvest was especially challenging, with lower yields across Panama impacting Janson as well. We are therefore very pleased to have secured these three lots. Quantities are limited, but the quality is exactly what we look for and expect from Janson.
