Hacienda La Esmeralda. Without them, the remarkable Gesha variety might not be what it is today. In 2004, the Peterson family won the Best of Panama competition with their exceptional Gesha coffee, a variety that was previously unknown in the region. This iconic farm has been instrumental in shaping the global reputation of Panama’s Gesha coffee and remains one of the most renowned farms in the world.

This Trapiche lot was harvested on February 11th, 2025 from the Cañas Verdes farm. After harvest, the coffee cherries were depulped, and subsequently fermented in a low temperature room for 72 hours. This microlot coffee was slowly dried on raised beds for 24 days.

This coffee is a radiant showcase of clarity and refinement. Lavender and white florals with bright, juicy citrus. Light, silky mouthfeel. The finish is clean and refreshing, highlighting the coffee’s exceptional purity. A precise and elegant expression of terroir, with vibrant freshness.
