SASABA GUJI WASHED
SASABA GUJI WASHED
Origin: Ethiopia - Kercha Zone
Farm: Sasaba Washing station
Altitude: 2000 m
Variety: Heirloom
Process: Washed
This refined washed Heirloom offers a delicate and balanced profile, with vibrant citrus notes and hints of stone fruit. As it cools, a subtle floral aspect emerges, complemented by the silky texture of white tea, making it elegant and structured.
Managed by Tsegay Hagos, the Sasaba washing station processes coffee from local smallholders in Southern Ethiopia's Guji region, located at over 2,000 m. The station works with more than 500 farmers, providing essential infrastructure for the selection, separation, and control of post-harvest processing. This collective effort enhances both production volume and quality, resulting in better prices for the community.
Coffee grown at these high altitudes matures slowly, yielding a complex and sweet flavor profile. Sasaba is committed to supporting farmers by offering training, infrastructure, and healthcare, ensuring long-term sustainability and fair compensation for their work.
